Every cricket club needs a Mat Smith - the bloke quietly handling all the behind-the-scenes admin that nobody notices, but without which the club would probably collapse. A true North Shore stalwart with nearly 3,000 runs, Mat has spent years opening the batting and getting innings off to solid starts. He also knows every league rule and regulation going, and is an absolute stickler for them being followed.
